Pay-TV subscriptions in the monitored Rest of World countries* continued to contract albeit marginally to around 557m. Both CaTV and satellite TV bases went down while the total IPTV base sustained its growth at 4.0% YoY. Among the countries, South Korea, Brazil, and Canada registered the highest IPTV growths. This was triggered by active fiber network expansion coupled with aggressive marketing of multiplay offers which sometimes include a pay-TV component.
