Total pay-TV subscriptions went down marginally to 558m in the monitored Rest of World countries. Cable TV (CaTV) and satellite TV bases continued to decline due to the growth in IPTV and SVoD services. All markets tallied IPTV increase except for the US-still mainly because of the negative impact of cord-cutting.
Brazil had the highest IPTV growth of around 10% YoY, followed by South Korea (7.9%), and China (4.3%) as operators in some of these markets focused on fiber network expansion to offer enriched TV content and high-speed broadband services.
