Mobile Voice Traffic - 2Q21 Eastern Europe
This monitoring service provides information on the volume of voice traffic originating and/or terminating on the mobile network. Furthermore, keeping up with InfoCom's constant endeavour to improve the service, the same figures are now provided for one important player in each market so as to see the market share.
The sharp rise of COVID-19 cases in most Eastern European markets pushed governments to reintroduce partial lockdowns (e.g. Poland, Slovenia, etc.) which consequently increased the usage of some services such as mobile. Indeed, mobile voice usage in the region grew further this period, with the average minutes of use (MoU) increasing by more than 5% YoY to around 195 minutes per mobile subscription.
