Telecom spending in Latin America: growing per inhabitant, declining as share of GDP

Published: 2012-01-19

Insight

In the next five years average telecom spending per inhabitant across Argentina, BRazil and Mexico will grow by a compounded annual average rate (CAAGR) of 2.5% and stay within the range of USD 22 to USD 24. Please note that the lower growth in Mexico is mainly due to the higher fertility rates and thus population growth as compared to Argentina or Brazil. For its part, higher growth in Argentina in the years 2012 and 2013 is partially due to predicted high inflation.
