IPTV strategies: developing premium content and new features

This article, is based on InfoCom's recent study on IPTV, which provides a global overview of IPTV developments in all relevant countries, from highly developed to emerging markets where IPTV services are only about to be introduced. In each country, we examine the content and pricing of IPTV offers and put them in relation to the competitive environment, i.e. against alternative pay-TV market offers.

IPTV services are gaining momentum in most markets around the world though most of innovative applications have appeared and developed in Asian markets, where in some cases the cooperation between public institutions and private investors is creating some promising new potential for IPTV implementations.
